Amongst the towering evergreens and tranquil waters, we draw inspiration from both the island's legends and the natural materials that connect us to the land. Our spells often harness the power of the island's offerings—like the cleansing strength of oyster shells from the beaches, perfect for protection spells and rituals of renewal. The nutrient-rich seaweed from the shores of Quw’utsun serves as a potent symbol of growth and transformation in our work, representing the eternal cycle of life.
We also embrace the magical properties of the arbutus tree, or kw’umuw’utlh, with its red bark that peels away to reveal new life beneath. The bark is used in spells of healing, rebirth, and shedding the old to make way for the new. Its connection to the land’s resilience makes it a powerful tool in rituals that align with the cycles of nature.
From these sacred materials to the hidden groves and mystical black sands of Vancouver Island, every aspect of our environment enhances our practices, allowing us to tap into the island's deep well of magical energy. Elysia "Nightshade" – The Witch
With a deep reverence for the earth and its cycles, Elysia is a skilled practitioner of traditional witchcraft. She specializes in herbal magic and intuitive spellwork, believing that the power of nature is an endless source of inspiration. Elysia’s approach is grounded in practicality, and she loves to share her insights. Elysia’s outgoing and quirky personality means she is often the one to reach out to first nation elders seeking their blessings for our harvesting.
Seraphina "Willow" – The Wiccan
As a devoted Wiccan and practitioner of Pagan traditions, Seraphina embraces the teachings of the Craft and honors the ancient cycles of nature. She celebrates the divine in all forms, paying homage to the gods and goddesses of old, the spirits of the land, and the energies of the elements. Her practice is deeply rooted in the sacredness of the earth, with a focus on ritual, creating sacred space, and honoring the turning of the Wheel of the Year—marking solstices, equinoxes, and the seasonal festivals that connect us to the natural world.
Lyra and Phil "Embermoon" – The Bridge and Basket
Lyra embodies both worlds, blending the rich traditions of witchcraft with the principles of Wicca. Her diverse background in spell casting allows her to create a unique, inclusive experience for all seekers. Lyra offers guidance in personal development and spiritual alignment through spell casting.
Phil, a long time student of pagan and wiccan philosophies, is the yin to Lyra’s yang. After spending many decades abroad studying oriental medicine and healing, Phil finally settled on Vancouver Island, where he met Lyra at a wiccan gathering at Koksilah grove. Partnered together, Phil manages our group of collectors; carefully studying both tide and moon charts as well as the standard star charts, Phil lets our collectors know where and when to be.

Guided by respect for nature and the spirits of the land, they only collect resources with permission from the guardians of the territory and with pure spiritual intention.
Our collectors adhere to strict guidelines that honor the ancient wisdom of the land. Before each collection, they invoke powerful protection spells and set their intentions to ensure alignment with the energies of the earth. They only gather when the moon is in its elemental phase, ensuring that their work is in harmony with the natural rhythms of the universe.
